# Which acquisitions, investments and launches affect supplier choice?

**The strongest disclosed monetary evidence concerns supplier corporate transactions—not what MLS or NWSL clubs pay.** These amounts must remain outside the club-expenditure model.

### What corporate deals are publicly documented?

| Announcement date | Transaction | Disclosed amount or status | Buyer-side significance |
|---|---|---|---|
| **17 December 2025** | Silversmith growth investment in SkillCorner | **US$60m investment**; the announcement does not state a company valuation | Funding supports product development and North American expansion across multiple sports. It is not soccer-only revenue or club purchasing volume. [SkillCorner announcement](https://landing.skillcorner.com/articles/skillcorner-x-silversmith). ([landing.skillcorner.com](https://landing.skillcorner.com/articles/skillcorner-x-silversmith)) |
| **13 October 2025** | Catapult agreement to acquire IMPECT | **Up to €78m**, reported as approximately **US$91m**: €40m upfront plus up to €38m deferred/contingent consideration; €10m subject to performance hurdles | Distinguish maximum consideration from upfront cash. Dollar equivalents are the announcement’s conversions, not current FX. [Catapult filing](https://www.catapult.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/20251013-13-October-2025-Impect-Acquisition-Announcement-Final.pdf). ([catapult.com](https://www.catapult.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/20251013-13-October-2025-Impect-Acquisition-Announcement-Final.pdf)) |
| **12 August 2024** — historical context | Hudl completed its acquisition of StatsBomb | **Terms undisclosed** | Establishes common ownership relevant to a Wyscout-versus-Statsbomb comparison. [Hudl announcement](https://www.hudl.com/blog/hudl-statsbomb-press-release-en); [SBJ, 14 August 2024](https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2024/08/14/hudl-statsbomb/?issueId=RRME3TUR7BAF2X4MWCS5KHM3Q4). ([hudl.com](https://www.hudl.com/blog/hudl-statsbomb-press-release-en?utm_source=openai)) |

The IMPECT announcement falls just outside the trailing 12 months; the StatsBomb acquisition is older context. Both remain relevant because subsequent product integration changes what a buyer should test.

**Do not add the US$60m investment to the maximum US$91m acquisition consideration and call the result market revenue, annual deal volume or enterprise value.** They are different transaction measures with different perimeters.

This is a **selected activity register, not a census of sales**. Announcements, renewals, case studies and launches are deliberately separated. Publication dates are not assumed to be contract-start dates, and undisclosed commercial arrangements are not assumed to be full-price subscriptions.

### What does consolidation mean for a renewal?

**Desk inference:** integrated video and analytics increase the value of testing a bundled offer against separate products. The documented Hudl and Catapult integrations support that inference, but do not prove that either bundle is cheaper or functionally complete for a particular club. [Hudl integration](https://www.hudl.com/blog/hudl-statsbomb-video-wyscout); [Catapult launch](https://www.catapult.com/blog/catapult-launches-impect-video-scouting). ([hudl.com](https://www.hudl.com/blog/hudl-statsbomb-video-wyscout))

Ask for a **retain/add/replace comparison at the entitlement level**, including any change in API access, footage, exports and exit arrangements. Shared ownership alone is not proof of duplicate intelligence.
