First, check included integration services. Hudl’s 9 December 2025 announcement describes a Statsbomb–Wyscout ID-mapping API for competitions, teams, matches and players, available without an additional charge to customers subscribing to both APIs. That is a specific eligibility condition—not a promise of universal cross-provider matching. (hudl.com)
Second, inspect the applicable contract hierarchy. Hudl’s public user terms distinguish customer content from individual user content and state that AI training rights over underlying customer content remain governed by the customer’s separate agreement. Its organisation terms also contain a generative-AI provision addressing prompts, outputs and human oversight. Those public pages are diligence starting points, not a determination of any club’s negotiated rights. (legal.hudl.com)
Buyer implication: Have the contract owner confirm permitted storage, external AI processing, model training, multi-club sharing and post-termination use in writing. Test technical joinability and contractual permission separately. Escalate ambiguity to counsel; this is procurement diligence, not legal advice.
