Produce a short decision memo with an evidence appendix, not a feature-ranking presentation.
| Recommendation | Minimum justification |
|---|---|
| Retain | Essential capability remains useful; no better tested configuration justifies change. |
| Add | A material gap or workflow burden is addressed at an approved incremental cost. |
| Replace | The successor passes must-retain tasks, rights and migration tests. |
| Consolidate | Required club-level capabilities survive the proposed group configuration. |
| Build | The gap concerns integration or internal workflow, with lawful inputs and a maintenance owner. |
| Commission an expert | The remaining question needs bounded specialist judgement or territory work. |
| Buy nothing / defer | Benefit is insufficient, a blocker remains or the club cannot implement responsibly. |
Pre-signature checklist
- State the recommendation and the alternative rejected.
- Identify the exact configuration, quote and contractual term.
- Attach results, exceptions and matters not tested.
- Name the implementation and acceptance owners.
- Agree how coverage failures, corrections and support issues will be handled.
- Confirm the exit route before cancelling an incumbent.
- Schedule a live-use review and the next renewal decision.
Suggested monitoring points are 30, 60 and 90 days after implementation. Check completed recruitment tasks, evidence availability, correction workload and independent staff use—not logins alone. These are proposed review intervals; adapt them to the club’s operational calendar.
Keep registration decisions outside the software score. Refer football operations to the applicable MLS roster rules and NWSL rules-and-policies materials rather than treating a platform’s eligibility label as approval. (mlssoccer.com)
